Springboro came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lakota East Thunderhawks by a score of 70-59. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Springboro pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points over those games. As for Lakota East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Springboro will host Olmsted Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Olmsted Falls will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Springboro surely won't give up without a fight. Lakota East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
