Baseball Recap: Ripley Comes Up Short

Ripley lost against Peabody last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers lost 20-8 to the Golden Tide. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Alex Caldwell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. John MacLin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ripley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Peabody, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ripley will square off against Haywood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Tomcats at the right time seeing as the Tomcats are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Peabody, they will face off against McKenzie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
