Central Kitsap dropped their record down to 10-9-1 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 3-0 to the Peninsula Seahawks. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Peninsula, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6-1. The game was the first time they have beaten Central Kitsap on their field since March 29, 2022.

For Peninsula's part, the result came thanks to Kaleb Copeland's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

On the hitting side, Peninsula saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathon Vergara-Dykes, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Coming up, Central Kitsap will be playing at home against North Kitsap at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Peninsula, they will square off against Curtis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight.
