Football Recap: Holden Karli and Caleb Kannas Pace Great Plains Lutheran Defense

Friday just wasn't the day for Great Plains Lutheran's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 48-0 to the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have struggled against the Elks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Great Plains Lutheran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Holden Karli and Caleb Kannas.

Great Plains Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Great Plains Lutheran will face off against Britton-Hecla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matches. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Garretson at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
