Baseball Recap: Toledo Takes a Loss

Toledo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-2 to the Myrtle Point Bobcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 last Tuesday.

Toledo's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Myrtle Point, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Toledo will face off against rival Siletz Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Myrtle Point is set to take on their familiar foe Eddyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
