Softball Recap: Hamilton's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Hamilton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 12-9 to the Muscle Shoals Trojans. The Aggies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Emily Jones and Jessica Shotts did some serious damage despite the final result: Jones scored three runs while going 3-for-4, while Shotts went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ella Rose Bartlett, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Hamilton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-17. As for Muscle Shoals, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12.

Coming up, Hamilton will face off against Carbon Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Muscle Shoals, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mars Hill Bible at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
