Softball Game Preview: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Westmont Warriors

The Santa Teresa Saints will head out to challenge the Westmont Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Santa Teresa has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Santa Teresa made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Gilroy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Saints fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Saints have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Santa Teresa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Vidal, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Westmont suffered their biggest defeat since March 20th on Tuesday. They came up short against Willow Glen, falling 15-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westmont's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Santa Teresa, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Santa Teresa couldn't quite finish off Westmont in their previous matchup back in March and fell 5-3. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
