The Knob Noster Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 27-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holden. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Knob Noster in their matchups with Holden: they've now lost three in a row.
Trey Payne rushed for 31 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 259 yards on 18 of 32 attempts. Dre Quinones was his top target, picking up 106 receiving yards. On the ground, Sam Livingston gained 127 total yards.
Knob Noster's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Holden, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knob Noster will take on Boonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holden, they will be playing at home against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington and Holden are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
