Basketball Recap: Cape Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Cape Elizabeth lost against Kennebunk back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cape Elizabeth Capers came up short against the Kennebunk Rams, falling 61-38. While losing is never fun, the Capers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Rams are ranked 30th).

Cape Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Kennebunk, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Cape Elizabeth will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wells at 7:00 p.m. Cape Elizabeth is facing Wells at the right time seeing as Wells is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Kennebunk has already played their next game (against Marshwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
