Soccer Recap: Edmond Memorial Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Edmond Memorial after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Norman North Timberwolves who were credited with the victory. The Norman North Timberwolves got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs' three. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Timberwolves when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Having lost for the first time this season, Edmond Memorial fell to 2-1. As for Norman North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edmond Memorial and Edmond Santa Fe will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Norman North will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Enid at 6:00 p.m. on March 28th.
