Viera is 0-3 against Osceola since September of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Kowboys at 7:00 p.m. This will be Viera's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
On Friday, Viera took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over Cocoa Beach. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Eric Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 118 yards and two TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Shaun Hartman Jr was in the mix too, providing Viera with two scores.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Viera proved: they limited Cocoa Beach to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. While one picked up at least seven total tackles, Jason Harp stood above the rest. He picked up four sacks, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass. Viera didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.9.

Viera didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Blake Thomas. Thomas is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Another thorn in Cocoa Beach's side was Harp, who picked up four sacks, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Osceola beat Melbourne 18-10 last Friday.
Osceola's win came from a few key players Viera will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jeffrey Sinophat, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 32 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Javontay Barnett, who rushed for 96 yards and one score on only 13 carries.
The victory made it two in a row for Viera and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 29 points in those games. As for Osceola, their record now sits at 4-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Viera has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 219.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Osceola struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 218.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Viera took a serious blow against Osceola when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 58-14. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
