The Lake City Timberwolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Ridgeline Riverhawks on Friday. The 46-point effort marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ridgeline's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stockton Hansen, who posted seven points and six boards. Tyson Brenchley was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

The win got Lake City back to even at 3-3. As for Ridgeline, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Lake City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against JSerra Catholic at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ridgeline, they will have a chance to turn things around after yesterday's loss to Damien at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday after yesterday's loss. The Spartans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Riverhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
