Baseball Recap: Chouteau-Mazie Comes Up Short

Chouteau-Mazie managed to slip by Summit Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Chouteau-Mazie came up short against Summit Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling 14-6. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Lucas Grossman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Chouteau-Mazie dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chouteau-Mazie will head out to take on Colcord at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Haskell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
