Plainfield skates past Martinsville with ease

Recap: Plainfield Quakers vs. Martinsville Artesians

The Plainfield Quakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season. They really took it to Martinsville for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-28 win on the road. With Plainfield ahead 34-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plainfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Benge, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Berkeley Williams, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

Plainfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Martinsville, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Plainfield is on the road again on Saturday and play against Harrison at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. Harrison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Plainfield is ranked 41st). Martinsville will be home for the holidays to greet Monrovia on Saturday.
