Softball Recap: Haynesville Comes Up Short

Haynesville fell victim to North Webster and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Knights. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Golden Tornado were not able to get on the board.

Haynesville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for North Webster, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haynesville will host Simsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Tornado's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for North Webster, they will be playing at home against Richwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
