Recap: Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles vs. California Grizzlies
The Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles were the 33-24 winner over the California Grizzlies when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Clayton Valley Charter fell 31-24 to California on Friday. Clayton Valley Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Clayton Valley Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Tony Keck, who picked up 142 receiving yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Lovett, who threw for 191 yards and a touchdown.
Jayden Macedo was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Josh Calcagno also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.
Clayton Valley Charter now has a losing record at 5-6. As for California, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Clayton Valley Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. California will head out on the road to face off against Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittsburg will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive.
