Softball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-5 to the Santa Fe Demons.

Alina Pinon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Treva Johnson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Santa Fe, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Bloomfield Bobcats duke it out with Piedra Vista Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield's pitchers better be ready for this one: Piedra Vista has averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Santa Fe, they are taking a road trip to face off against Los Alamos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Alamos has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.43 runs per game on average), something Santa Fe will no doubt try to take advantage of.
