Basketball Recap: Cross Keys' Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Cross Keys's game on Tuesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 68-58 to the Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguar. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Phoenix still had to take the loss.

Zac Agichtein was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 48 points and nine rebounds for Atlanta Jewish Academy. The match was Agichtein's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Aryeh Cohen was another key player, putting up three points along with eight assists and eight boards.

Cross Keys' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross Keys will venture away from home to face off against Atlanta Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlanta Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.9 points per game this season. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Heritage Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atlanta Jewish Academy also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.8 points per game.
