Baseball Recap: Canadian Takes a Loss

If Canadian was feeling good fresh off their 24-10 takedown of Wewoka last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Canadian Cougars lost 21-11 to the Konawa Tigers on Saturday. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Canadian's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Konawa, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canadian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Haileyville at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th. Canadian has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Konawa, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Konawa Tigers face off against Earlsboro Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
