Baseball Recap: Atwater Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Patterson, Atwater was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Buhach Colony Thunder 8-1. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunder, too.

The team relied heavily on Andres Reyna, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Perez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Atwater is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Buhach Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16-1.

Atwater will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Thunder: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
