Soccer Recap: Cape Fear Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cape Fear Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Kerr-Vance Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on March 3rd.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Fear Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bradford Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 4. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they will be playing at home against Halifax Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kerr-Vance Academy is facing Halifax Academy at the right time seeing as Halifax Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
