Baseball Recap: Milwaukee Hamilton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Milwaukee Hamilton's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Augustine Prep Lions 13-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Brayan Dipre made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Mason Leber was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Grochowski, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles.

Milwaukee Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Augustine Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-6-1.
