Volleyball Recap: Round Rock Comes Up Short

If Round Rock was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Anderson on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons lost 3-0 to the Lake Travis Cavaliers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dragons have suffered since September 6, 2024.

Round Rock took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Kerrington Thornton paced Round Rock's offense, picking up nine kills. Thornton got some help from Nila Beauchamp and her 19 assists. Brooklyn Bradley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Round Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Round Rock will take on Glenn at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Travis, they will be taking part in a tournament against Iowa Colony at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
