Basketball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Olympus Titans

West hasn't had much luck against Olympus recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will take on the Titans at 7:00 p.m. West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Olympus likes a good challenge.

West is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Maple Mountain by a score of 74-62.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah Albertson, who made all 6 shots he took to post 19 points and six boards. With that strong performance, Albertson is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Samiu Taukiuvea was another key player, shooting 75% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Olympus came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 56-48 win over the Wildcats.

West's record now sits at 13-11. As for Olympus, their record is now 21-2.

West might still be hurting after the 77-51 loss they got from Olympus when the teams last played back in January of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
