Softball Recap: St. Amant Takes Down Ranked Quitman

St. Amant faced Quitman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. St. Amant came out on top in a nail-biter against Quitman, sneaking past 2-1.

St. Amant is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The loss snapped Quitman's winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.

St. Amant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Sulphur on the 22nd. As for Quitman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-7 win against South Beauregard on the 22nd.
