Marion has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cole recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Marion will be strutting in after a win while Cole will be coming in after a loss.

Marion had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Randolph on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Ro-Hawks a 12-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Ro-Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on Alyson Robles, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Gianna Ricarte was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Cole lost 12-4 to Jourdanton on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Indians/Squaws: they've now lost six in a row.

Cole's loss dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Marion, their win bumped their record up to 15-5-3.

Marion took their victory against Cole in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
