Softball Recap: Rock Ridge Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Rock Ridge finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the Tuscarora Huskies, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Phoenix in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost nine in a row.

Rock Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riya Cherukuri, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Rock Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Tuscarora, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Ridge will challenge Loudoun Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tuscarora, they will welcome Broad Run at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
