Baseball Recap: Hammon Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hammon took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Navajo, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians on Monday, sneaking past 9-8. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four contests in a row.

Hammon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Navajo, their loss dropped their record down to 21-3.

Hammon and Navajo should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Warriors will square off against Copan at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (101 vs. 233). Meanwhile, Navajo (ranked 50th) will meet Wetumka (ranked 309th) at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
