Basketball Recap: St. Croix Falls Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hayward

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Croix Falls). They came out on top against the Hayward Hurricanes by a score of 78-68 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Hurricanes back in December of 2024, they had to take a 82-66 loss.

St. Croix Falls' win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Hayward, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Croix Falls will head out to square off against Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hayward, they will take on Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hayward knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Cumberland likes a good challenge.
