Varela pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.4 points on average over those games. As for Homestead, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Varela suffered a grim 27-6 defeat to Homestead when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Thankfully for the Vipers, Delexis McCall (who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 120 yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
