Downingtown East will have to keep a close watch on Logan Cummings and Chase Szollose, a pair of players who had a big impact on East's prior game. Cummings threw for 114 yards and three TDs, while Szollose rushed for 109 yards. Szollose also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles.

Downingtown East's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for East, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Downingtown East against East in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
