Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Daiveon Parker and Aldin Bubic Lead Oakmont to Victory

Oakmont won the last time they faced Mira Loma and things went their way on Friday too. The Oakmont Vikings came out on top against the Mira Loma Matadors by a score of 57-49.

Leading Oakmont to victory were Aldin Bubic and Daiveon Parker. Bubic went 5-for-7 en route to 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Parker posted nine points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Parker a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Myron Decena, who scored nine points.

The win got Oakmont back to even at 14-14. As for Mira Loma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Coming up, Oakmont is taking a road trip to challenge Placer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakmont knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Placer likes a good challenge. Mira Loma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
