Recap: Campo Verde Coyotes vs. Winslow Bulldogs
On Thursday, Campo Verde beat Winslow 52-39.
Campo Verde got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelsey Watts out in front who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The match was Watts' third in a row with at least ten points. Lizzy Clark was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Campo Verde now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Winslow, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Campo Verde's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kingman Academy at 11:00 a.m. on December 8th. Kingman Academy's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Campo Verde's offense will have their work cut out for Campo Verde. As for Winslow, they will head out on the road to face off against Page at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Page knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Winslow likes a good challenge.
