Basketball Game Preview: Fremont Firebirds vs. MacDonald Condor

The Fremont Firebirds will square off against the MacDonald Condor at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, Fremont came up short against Monta Vista and fell 48-40.

Meanwhile, MacDonald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 56-40 bruising from Homestead. While losing is never fun, the Condor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1001st, while the Mustangs are ranked 282nd).

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Fremont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Fremont strolled past MacDonald in their previous matchup on January 10th by a score of 60-44. Does Fremont have another victory up their sleeve, or will MacDonald turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
