Basketball Recap: Lexington Catholic Takes a Loss

Lexington Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 61-24 defeat at the hands of the Lafayette Generals. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Generals are ranked 21st).

Lexington Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Lafayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington Catholic has already played their next game (against Lexington Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lafayette has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Great Crossing.
