Baseball Recap: Cedaredge Has No Trouble Against Rangely

Cedaredge's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Saturday. They blew past the Rangely Panthers 12-0. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Colten Hutto made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Makai Salazar was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Carson Rupp was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Cedaredge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rangely only posted an OBP of .118.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Rangely, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

As of now, neither Cedaredge nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
