Softball Recap: Millikan Extends Winning Streak to Six

Millikan waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Mission Viejo Diablos 9-0. Considering the Rams have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kayla Cisneros was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Morgan Zimmerman was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Millikan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Millikan's record is now 10-5. As for Mission Viejo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millikan will welcome JSerra Catholic at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 2.1, the Lions 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mission Viejo, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Tesoro at 4:00 p.m.
