Football Recap: Chancellor Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chancellor is still winless after their matchup against James Monroe on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-24 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Nate Newton threw for 28 yards on four of eight attempts. On the ground, Jaiden Canada rushed for 60 yards and two scores on only five carries.

James Monroe found their leader in sophomore Kenyon Monroe, who threw for 187 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 107 yards on only 13 carries.

Chancellor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for James Monroe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
