Football Recap: Steele Has No Trouble Against East Central

Steele barely beat East Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand the Hornets a 49-0 shutout on Friday. The contest marked the Knights' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The win made it two in a row for Steele and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for East Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Steele will face off against rival Judson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jonathan Hatton and Kayden Graham. Meanwhile, East Central is set to square off against their familiar foe San Marcos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
