Basketball Game Preview: Lambert Longhorns vs. Dawson County Tigers

The Lambert Longhorns will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Dawson County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lambert is leaving town to face Dawson County after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Longhorns fell 66-56 to Walton on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Lambert got top-tier performance from Parker Whipple, who posted 34 points. Another player making a difference was Molly Taylor, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Dawson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of Paulding County.

Lambert strolled past Dawson County in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 61-45. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
