Basketball Recap: Calhan Bulldogs vs. Twin Peaks Charter Academy Timberwolves
The Calhan Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight defeat. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Twin Peaks Charter Academy.
Twin Peaks Charter Academy found their leader in underclassman Matthew Wurth, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wurth has scored all season. Jaiden Specht was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Calhan dropped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Twin Peaks Charter Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.
Calhan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Miami-Yoder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday. Twin Peaks Charter Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. Vanguard Classical East is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
