Basketball Recap: Gabrielle Gaydosh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Columbia Central over Hanover-Horton

Columbia Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hanover-Horton Comets. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comets earlier this season, when they won 44-26.

Columbia Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabrielle Gaydosh, who posted 14 points. Emma Shafer was another key player, putting up two points and six steals.

Columbia Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Hanover-Horton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Columbia Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-48 win against Jonesville on the 18th. As for Hanover-Horton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 42-33 victory against Homer on the 18th.
