Football Game Preview: Marion Harding Presidents vs. Pleasant Spartans

The Marion Harding Presidents will head out to face off against the Pleasant Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Marion Harding is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Ontario on Friday. The Presidents received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Presidents in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Pleasant's offense. They were outmatched by Galion and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Tigers are ranked 34th).

Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Marion Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Marion Harding couldn't quite get it done against Pleasant when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 14-3. Can the Presidents avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
