Colleton County has gone 9-1 against Bluffton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will welcome the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Colleton County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Bluffton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Colleton County's win against Branchville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars won by a run and slipped past the Yellow Jackets 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Bre Gerard made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Gerard was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Alexia Eversole was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Bluffton might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Hilton Head Island who claimed the real prize. The Bobcats lost 17-9 to the Seahawks. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colleton County's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Bluffton, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Colleton County took their win against Bluffton in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
