Recap: Millis Mohawks vs. Case Cardinals
The Millis Mohawks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 28-15 to Case. Millis was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Case apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.
Case got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Orton out in front who threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Braden Bibeau did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Millis' defeat was their fourth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 1-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-2 Norton and 6-3 Bellingham (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.4% over those games). As for Case, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
Millis will be playing in front of their home fans against Holbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holbrook will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Case, they will head out on the road to face off against Nantucket at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
