Volleyball Recap: Front Range Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Aubrey Deich and Morgan Battey

If Front Range Christian was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Clear Creek on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Highland Huskies on Thursday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

While Front Range Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Highland's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-23.

Morgan Battey and Aubrey Deich certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Battey had 14 digs, while Deich had six digs, five kills, and two aces. Deich is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Front Range Christian's record now sits at 5-8. As for Highland, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Front Range Christian has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against D'Evelyn on the 20th. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Lyons on the 23rd.
