Basketball Game Preview: WF West Bearcats vs. Columbia River Rapids

WF West has gone a perfect 3-0 against Columbia River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The WF West Bearcats will head out to square off against the Columbia River Rapids at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Columbia River will be up against a hot WF West team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 14. WF West breezed past Woodland to the tune of 67-25 on Monday. The Bearcats pushed the score to 44-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Beavers had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Columbia River made easy work of Black Hills on Monday and carried off a 62-41 win. The victory was nothing new for the Rapids as they're now sitting on five straight.

WF West's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Columbia River, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

WF West was able to grind out a solid win over Columbia River when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 54-41. Will WF West repeat their success, or does Columbia River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
