Basketball Recap: American Leadership Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

American Leadership Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Parowan Rams by a score of 70-60. The Eagles pushed the score to 58-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

American Leadership Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kannon Huntsman out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. Huntsman is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Hunter, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 23 points.

American Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Parowan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy will venture away from home to challenge Freedom Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Parowan, they and Rowland Hall will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
