New Holstein's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Brillion Lions 8-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Parker Manderscheid, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Schroeder, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win got New Holstein back to even at 11-11. As for Brillion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

New Holstein will have a chance to go back-to-back against Brillion: the pair will be back at it again later today.
