Basketball Game Preview: Dublin Jerome Celtics vs. Bishop Watterson Eagles

The Dublin Jerome Celtics will face off against the Bishop Watterson Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dublin Jerome will be strutting in after a win while Bishop Watterson will be coming in after a defeat.

Dublin Jerome will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Marysville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Dublin Jerome enjoyed a cozy 48-33 victory over Marysville on Friday. Given the Celtics' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Monarchs are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop Watterson entered their contest against Upper Arlington on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Bishop Watterson took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Upper Arlington.

Dublin Jerome pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Bishop Watterson, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Dublin Jerome didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bishop Watterson in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory.
